A Tamil student... ( Sorry Mr.G.U.Pope)

Yup.. Its me, believe.
The victim is my colleague kiran, Fuel cell expert. This chap is good at learning tamil quickly. Nonetheless, Hez from vjwada.

Though we have lots of work, we two used to amuse ourself under the esteemed supervision of Anand-san (He ignites everything). We make our office hours very interesting and exciting simply by ottify-ing everyone at our office. Even to our President(India & US Operations) - No clemency.

I normally, teach him some tamil terms. Whatever we prattle, what we do more often, Kiran grasps and cogitates it. He will not stop there-But he improvises it and reverts back to us. Once i told him, the Tamil counterpart for Baby is Kuzhandhai. His out-of-the-box thinking lead to the invention of a Tamil term for Chicken - Kozhi Kuzhandhai.
And Ezhilni for tender coconut. He scolds (especially me) pichakaara paambu - This also, is one of his invention.

Sometimes, he hears to juntas chat and without confirming he starts using some words, which ultimately ends up in clowning. Consequently, he'll get caught by us. He sometimes casually say - muka man neram (Ya.. He means 45 mins..) - nalla irukku - The fact is he doesn't know that the exact words are mukkaal mani neram & Nandraga irukkiradhu. Then i taught him some slang and their originals. After that, he sometimes corrects us while using such slang.

Recently, we taught him the brahmin slang, which our man (manager) often uses. Now he has reached a good level; After running some simulations and getting the results, he says simulation panrachha result nandraga vandhuduthuuuu....

Enna koduma sir...!!!

Crazy filenames...

After pretty long time, Got a while to blog.
I, perhaps you too, often wonder at the names of files and folders created by ppl.
Especially, in my office - It will be too crazy. The thing is, Even, top management ppl use to christen the files and folders in a crazy manner. I've come across many such instances and wanted to share.

I noticed a file named book_got_from_net.pdf inside the folder books. Further, empty.odp, which contained nothing. :-)

We deal with modeling and simulation of physical systems. I wonder at the model names too.
Tank_Pipe_Tank.mo - It is a model of a hydraulic system which contains a pipe in between two tanks. It deserves, right!!!???
Now you can understand the model named - Tank_Orifice_Pipe_Hose_Pipe_Orifice_Tank.mo !!!

After simulating the models, we need to store the result files. We simulate for an array of experimental conditions. So, for each result file, how we name?
Direct_AtoA_WithMass1000kg_damp100_force70N_L745mm.mat
Hope you don understand.
This represents a test case result at the specified parametric conditions. Direct means a direct connection between two hydraulic cylinder and AtoA means acceleration to acceleration.

I used to laugh at these names.
If you understand, you too, will.

My Dawn...

It was a month back, when i made debut in blogs. This morning i thought of writing about my activities every morning.Lets see.

I habitually wake up between 5.30 & 6.30.. After finishing my primaries, I'll dress up as if i'm a sports person -With regular Track suit & Shoe. Nothing else. This buld up is jus for a walk & jog of 4-5 km.

My usual destination would be Dr.Natesan Park which is about half and odd km from my place - A well-maintained park with jag track & having korean grass islands.This park is maintained by South Madras Walkers & Jaggers Association.

When i enter the park, the notice board with a new saying welcomes me.I start with a casual walk along the track. Some 50 people wou've been already doing a variety of (funny!!!)things there.

Some people walk casually like me.. Some others with a plod gait.. You may also see some people walking with all the cylinders firing.This is along the track. And in the grasslands, you can see bunch people doing yoga & meditation etc stuffs.One more comedy group is the laughter club - Which prefers laughter to cure abnormalities. I could hear all strange and funny laughter sound and also the actions they do. It'll be very funny.I do exercise near that group.Sometimes a bunch of maamis used to club and discuss something.There is also a place for testing sugar level & Blood pressure - All kelads used to form a queue for this check.

I used to walk for 30 mins by when i'd have completed some 7 or 8 rounds which comes around 4 km. Then i'll go to my place near laughter club. I'll do some basic exercises for another 15 mins by the time i'd have been exhausted.

I'll move toward the natural juice stall at the threshold of the park. She 'll have extracts ranging veg, mushroom, plaintain stem, spinach etc.. I'll have one and slowly walk towards my abode.

Then i'll get ready to office.
This is my usual dawn.

உள்ளேன் ஐயா..

Even now, Many of my friends bug me to read their blogs. After seeing the no. of lines in the content, i'll simply Alt+F4 it.

Yesterday, after a conversation wit my colleague, Somehow I got interested in blogging. So, வந்து ஒரு attendance a போடலாம் னு நெனச்சேன்.

I don like to write hundreds of lines in blog, as i may feel bored. தோனுறத எழுதுறேன்... வேனுங்க்ரத படிங்க...

As almost all my friends know, I got a job which is really cool in hot Chennai. My work basically involves math-modeling of physical systems. Life is moving well here.

After entering into corporate world, my thoughts are in brownian motion. I like to work on varieties of field viz. Management, HRD, Finance, Investment advisory, Technical Consulting, Entrepreneurship etc. There were also times when i thought "What if we contribute something to medicine & health". Then i realized, these thoughts may be good only to share in blogs and makes no sense in reality.(I don know whether its true or not!!!)

Now a days, i could feel that I'm somewhat tangential to my technical aspirations and involving myself more in investments and share trading(I'm a GET in this field too). I have seen people who shout "Yuppie!!" during "Bull-Run" and Looking dejected during "Volatility"
(Bull+run and Volatility are terms used in share trading. Don't panic). So why not we experience such emotions...??- This thought came to my mind. And now am doing some stuff about money management too.

Similarly, Am also honing my skills towards entrepreneurship. how to win people...?? How to contribute to technology development..?? How to acheive...?? How to formulate the team for my prospective company..?? How to attract customers...?? How to satisfy customer needs..??Ultimately, How to make&manage profit...?? Let's how far it'll work-in (near) future...
