Crazy filenames...

After pretty long time, Got a while to blog.
I, perhaps you too, often wonder at the names of files and folders created by ppl.
Especially, in my office - It will be too crazy. The thing is, Even, top management ppl use to christen the files and folders in a crazy manner. I've come across many such instances and wanted to share.

I noticed a file named book_got_from_net.pdf inside the folder books. Further, empty.odp, which contained nothing. :-)

We deal with modeling and simulation of physical systems. I wonder at the model names too.
Tank_Pipe_Tank.mo - It is a model of a hydraulic system which contains a pipe in between two tanks. It deserves, right!!!???
Now you can understand the model named - Tank_Orifice_Pipe_Hose_Pipe_Orifice_Tank.mo !!!

After simulating the models, we need to store the result files. We simulate for an array of experimental conditions. So, for each result file, how we name?
Direct_AtoA_WithMass1000kg_damp100_force70N_L745mm.mat

This represents a test case result at the specified parametric conditions. Direct means a direct connection between two hydraulic cylinder and AtoA means acceleration to acceleration.

I used to laugh at these names.
